Tesco’s apprenticeship scheme is set to expand in the future.

Tesco is set to expand its apprenticeships programme, with two new schemes starting this month.

The schemes cover a Level 2 retail apprenticeship in store and Level 2 LGV driver roles within distribution.

Tesco said more schemes would follow, including new apprenticeships for office staff with 2,500 opportunities in total to be offered this year.

“A job with Tesco is an opportunity to get on, to develop and progress your career ambitions,” said Tesco people director Natasha Adams.

“Over the last five years our apprenticeships have given 8,250 colleagues of all ages opportunities to get on, continue their education and build skills for their future. We’re extending our apprenticeship programme, to give colleagues more choice to develop and reach their potential, as we seek to grow skills that will help Tesco serve shoppers better into the future.”
